We no longer are looking at just a high speed 1,400 persons/hour gondola encroaching on our Wilderness and Five Lakes, but now there is “planning” for 38 houses next to Granite Chief Wilderness and another private chair to Lake Estelle’s ridgeline. The KSL/SquawAlpine application to the county and the Forest Service is still in the works. The applications should include all aspects of these developments so a thorough environmental analysis and public review can occur.
